Behind The Vision

This kitchen was outdated and didn’t properly utilize the space as functionally as it should, but the existing wood cabinets were in great shape. Rather than gut, we decided to add on cabinets to the island and exterior facing wall, maximizing storage and prep space and removing dead zones in the room. We also removed the kitchen desk area, and replaced with custom wood bin drawers. Replacing a few upper cabinets with floating shelves opened the space and gave the display of every day items that are meant to be seen. We added vertical paneling to all the walls & honed black granite countertops for a durable solution that could withstand wear and tear of children. Cabinets painted in Mouses’s Back by Farrow and ball, uppers in Baby Fawn by Benjamin Moore. Previously an all white home.
